Whenever an SNL alum comes back to host the show, it’s pretty much a guaranteed good episode. When Kristen Wiig comes back to host SNL, the world collectively breathes a sigh of relief because SNL feels complete again. Or something like that! The point is, Kristen hosted Saturday’s show and the consensus seems to be that she did pretty great. In case you missed it, here are a few of her best skits from Saturday’s show.

The Californians

The accents in this skit are amazing, but the fact that Kristen, Fred, and Bill keep almost-breaking makes it even better. Also, Maya Rudolph, Kristen’s co-star in the films "Bridesmaids" and "Friends With Kids," makes an appearance!

The Backstreet Boys announced they'll embark on a summer 2013 tour, starting in August. If you follow the blog at all, then you know I'm kind of a fan, so I'm extremely pumped. The "In A World Like This" tour kicks off in Chicago, IL on Friday, Aug. 2, and wraps in Concord, CA, Sunday, Sept. 8. Currently, the band is touring in China.

The general on sale for most tour dates will happen this Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m. local time (12 p.m. local time for Chicago). A pre-sale for exclusive BSB fan club members starts Wednesday, May 15, 7 a.m. local time. Tickets will be available soon, so keep checking back! In the meantime, for a full list of dates, click the cut. (And OMG! I can't wait!)

Bowie's Space space!

This weekend, the outgoing commander of the International Space Station, Canada's Chris Hadfield, gave a bit of a farewell message as he prepared to depart the space station. With acoustic guitar in hand, he (with some help from "Ground Control") produced a music video from the space station, featuring a slightly modified cover of David Bowie's classic tune "Space Oddity." The revised lyrics are great, and with that voice Hadfield could probably make it as lead singer of a band back home, but it's the visuals that really make the thing come together. Take a look.
