Onsales This Week

As we reported last week, Nine Inch Nails is returning to the stage in full force this fall. The Tension 2013 tour begins on September 28 in Saint Paul, MN. Twelve shows of the the 31-date tour have onsales tomorrow. Aside from the regular concerts, NIN will appear at the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit in October and the Voodoo Festival in November.

NIN is also spending the summer on a globetrotting festival circuit, including appearances at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Made in America in the U.S., as well as Leeds, Reading and Zurich Open Air in Europe. All of the festivals are in August, and that's just a brief listing of the full schedule.

With quickly approaching international appearances, frontman Trent Reznor has recently been dealt a small challenge. On Friday guitarist Adrian Belew quit the live band, posting on Facebook a reasoning of "it didn't work." That leaves only weeks for someone else to step in and get ready. It shouldn't be too big of a deal for NIN, though, which is known for its revolving lineup, including a couple replacements mid-tour.

In other news, NFL® tickets continues to become available at a rapid pace. This week the Pittsburgh Steelers have initial onsales on Saturday for all home games. Meanwhile, there are additional onsales for Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean tomorrow, and Michael Bublé tomorrow and Monday.

Tim Tebow is a Patriot, which means the return of Tebowie!

Let me start off by saying I am a die-hard New England Patriots fan. When I heard the news a few days ago that Tim Tebow was joining my team, I reacted like any sane Patriots football fan would: I was completely indifferent. Tom Brady is our quarterback. He will be our quarterback for all of next season barring injury. If Tim Tebow takes more than a handful of snaps over the course of the season, then the Patriots are already in deep trouble because either Brady is injured or Bill Belichick has officially gone crazy.

The one thing that did make me happy about Tim Tebow making it back into the NFL was the return of "Tebowie" on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." If you haven't heard of Tebowie before, it's basically exactly what it sounds like: a combination of Tebow and legendary musician David Bowie. Tebowie made his debut a few years ago when Tim Tebow had his memorable run as QB of the Denver Broncos. Below is last night's edition of Tebowie:

Not bad, but the original is still by far my favorite. For those who have never seen the videos, and for those of you who just want to see them again, here are the first two editions of "Tebowie."
