Here's something that will probably get at least a couple of people interested in Broadway if they weren't already — "Magic Mike" is becoming a stage show.
Now, if you haven't heard of "Magic Mike," here's what you need to know: it's about a group of male strippers played by Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey.
The film itself is actually about more than just good looking guys, but I won't spoil it. The point is that this thing is going on Broadway to become Magic Mike: The Musical. Channing Tatum will produce, and he may also be in it, but there's no confirmation just yet.
In this week's onsales list, we see a return to mostly concerts, although there are a couple sports events of note. First up is Pearl Jam, who announced a new tour earlier this month. The tour is the band's first in three years with a major U.S. presence, and from what I've seen fans are welcoming them back with open arms. Much of the tour will go on sale Friday and Saturday
Next up is Paramore, who did tour more recently (earlier this year), but are nonetheless on a brand new tour as well. The 25-city jaunt will begin on October 15 in Seattle, WA, and end on November 27 in Duluth, GA. Initial onsales for the tour will be on Friday.
The sports onsales I mentioned earlier come in two forms. Individual game tickets for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team go on sale this Friday. Also, the Nuclear Cowboyz brand of motocross has onsales on Friday as well.
Finally, The Black Crowes and John Legend have new tours on sale Friday, Alice Cooper has additional dates on sale Thursday and Friday for his Raise the Dead tour, and Justin Timberlake has tickets for four more of his solo shows up for grabs on Monday.
