There are a lot of onsales happening in the next few days, so let's get right to it.
Theater is particularly active this week. First off, the new Broadway musical Aladdin has over 90 shows on sale this coming Sunday for dates on and after September 1. Meanwhile, the tour Jesus Christ Superstar Arena Spectacular has 23 onsales this coming Friday and Monday, and the production of Jersey Boys in San Jose, CA, has eight shows onsale Friday.
Switching to concerts, rock band Aerosmith is joining up with Slash for a tour that begins in May and runs until early September. All 23 concerts go on sale this weekend, with a couple Nevada shows on sale tomorrow, one Illinois show on sale Saturday, and the rest of the concerts on sale Monday.
It's been a rock album, a film, and now it'll be an arena spectacular: Jesus Christ Superstar will head out on an arena tour starting June 9 in New Orleans, LA. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday, April 11.
The musical is the biggest North American arena tour of this show. A collaboration between Tim Rice (The Lion King) and Andrew Lloyd Webber (The Phantom of the Opera), this rendition of Jesus Christ Superstar will feature a star-studded cast. First, Ben Forster, who led the UK and Australian arena tours, will reprise his role as Jesus. Michelle Williams, of Destiny's Child fame, will star as Mary Magdalene; Brandon Boyd of Incubus will star as Judas, JC Chasez (yes, from 'N Sync) will star as Pontius Pilate, and John rotten Lydon from the Sex Pistols will play King Herod.
See below for the tour dates and visit the Jesus Christ Superstar page for more information on tickets.
