Iconic German electronic band Kraftwerk is kicking off a brief North American leg of their "3D Concert Tour" tonight, when they visit Edmonton, Alberta's North Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. After spending a couple days in Canada, the band will hop over to Portland, OR; Denver, CO; Austin, TX; Boston, MA; and points in between. The 12-date leg will end on October 9 in Kansas City, MO.
Considered pioneers in the electronic music scene, Kraftwerk was formed in 1970 by Florian Schneider in Düsseldorf, Germany, after already being present in the country's experimental music scene for some time. Their early work popularized electronic music and they are known for a minimalistic music and lyrics, their pioneering use of vocoders, and improvisation on stage.
The average listing price for Kraftwerk tickets at TicketNetwork.com is currently $174, and average prices per city range from $72 in Edmonton, Alberta, to $447 in Portland.
