Vegas Residencies seem to be the biggest thing in performing these days. So with so many artists setting up semi-permanent shop on the Vegas Strip, here are the 6 Things You Need to Know About Vegas Residencies:
It's the beginning of another year, and that means it's time to predict all the artists and bands we think will tour during the year. Of course, many acts already have planned tours coming up, but you can be sure that there will be at least another four or five that announce them in the coming months. In particular, the months after June are looking pretty empty at this point, and will need plenty of acts to fill them up.
We think there is a pretty decent chance that the following five artists and bands will tour this year.
The Rationale: Over the last decade or so, U2 has seemed to have a pretty reliable four to five year gap between albums, and three to four year gap between their tours. Well, 2014 is exactly the right number of years for the next album to come out and the next tour to be announced. To be exact, the end of 2014 is at the lower end of the gap, so I wouldn't at all be surprised to see a tour announcement by the end of the year, if not the first dates of that tour.
Besides, what do they have to lose? Nothing, that's what. U2 is always an extremely popular touring act, and the previous 360° Tour was the highest-grossing tour ever. So come on U2: don't leave us waiting for much longer!
