In front of a raucous crowd in Oklahoma City, Kevin Durant and the Thunder were able to seize early momentum in the 2012 NBA Finals, beating the Miami Heat 105-94 to take a one-game-to-none lead in the series.

Coming off of a hard-fought Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics, no one would have been surprised if the Heat started a little slow yesterday. Instead, they came out hot, taking a 54-47 lead on the well-rested Thunder into halftime. The second half, on the other hand, was a completely different story.
Thanks to Durant, the Thunder dominated the Heat in the third and fourth quarters, outscoring them 58-40. Durant finished the game with 36 points, 17 of which came in the fourth quarter. Russell Westbrook chipped in 27 points along with 11 assists and 8 rebounds, while Nick Collison came off the bench to contribute 8 points and 11 rebounds in just 21 minutes of action.
