Last night, it was announced that as many as 20 Major League Baseball players may be suspended from the league for their connection to a clinic in Miami that's involved in a performance-enhancement drug scandal. Among the players up for suspension are New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and Milwaukee Brewer Ryan Braun. Others include Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz, Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli, Mariners catcher and first baseman Jesus Montero, Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta, and Padres outfielder Everth Cabrera.

Some players may even be suspended for as many as 100 games. These developments came as part of MLB's investigation into Biogenesis Lab founder Anthony Bosch, who (allegedly) provided the performance enhancing drugs to the players. Because Bosch will cooperate completely with the investigation, the lawsuit MLB had filed against him will likely be dropped. If things continue along this path, this performance-enhancing drug scandal would be the largest in American sports history.

What do you guys think? Personally, I think one commenter on ESPN said it best: "Stop this nonsense, I have a fantasy league to win."

Anthony versus Garnett

Following a fight between New York Knicks player Carmelo Anthony and Celtics player Kevin Garnett, Knicks owner James Dolan ordered two technicians to hold microphones during the team's Madison Square Garden games — just to capture everything Anthony said.

If it sounds weird, that's probably because it is, and the photo of one of the technicians actually holding up the "high-tech, sensitive microphones" is even weirder. Not only were the mics used during Friday's game against the Chicago Bulls, but also Sunday's game against the Hornets.

The mics came after Anthony was suspended from last Thursday's game against the Pacers because he'd confronted Garnett several times after they had exchanged heated words on the court during their game Jan. 7. Anthony said Garnett had "spewed a verbal insult at Anthony," according to ESPN; some rumors said that insult involved Anthony’s wife and Honey Nut Cheerios. (What?!)

Although the two have allegedly made up since then, that didn't stop Dolan from feeling the need to listen in on the conversations taking place on the basketball court.

And you thought you were having a rough week.
