After spending 2012 away from the stage, Michael Buble is back with a new tour in support of his latest album, To Be Loved, and initial onsales are this Friday and Monday. The ever-popular Buble will visit 40 cities on this tour, including stops in Indianapolis, IN; Brooklyn, NY; Charlotte, NC; and San Diego, CA. The tour's U.S. concerts are scheduled to begin on September 7 at Chicago's United Center. They will end on November 30 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA.
Released on April 22, To Be Loved has proven to be yet another hit, debuting at the top of the Billboard 200. This is Buble's fourth straight album to do so. It also debuted at number one in Buble home country Canada, the fifth time it has done so there.
Other onsales this week include Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Tour, which has another seven concerts on sale this Friday. If your city isn't up this week and hasn't gone up yet, never fear as there are more onsales next Friday, May 24. Also, Christmas has come early for fans of the Radio City Rockettes. You didn't misread that — all 200+ Radio City Christmas Spectacular shows are onsale this coming Tuesday, May 21.
Finally, the Backstreet Boys are back. As we reported earlier this week, they're following up on their successful tour with New Kids on the Block in 2011 with their very own 25-date tour during the second half of the summer. The In a World Like This Tour will begin on August 2 at the Charter One Pavilion in Chicago and end on September 8 at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Wheatland, CA. Jesse McCartney and Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D will join them. Initial onsales are on Friday and Saturday.
This week, Justin Timberlake is back on the onsales radar, with nine new concerts on sale this coming Monday. The pop and R&B icon is staying busy throughout the year with a second new tour in the fall and winter, in support of his latest album The 20/20 Experience. Timberlake, who is also going on tour during July and August with Jay-Z, is wasting little time before heading back on the road again during the end of the year.
The tour's U.S. dates, which are split roughly evenly between November, December, and January, kick off on November 13 at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC. The tour is currently slated to end on February 10, 2014 at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, NE. However, it is possible that more dates will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more information.
Last week, Black Sabbath announced that they had added new dates to the band's upcoming North American tour — the first full scale tour by Sabbath since 2005. The 2013 World Tour began with shows in New Zealand and Australia and is a follow-up to shows the band played after it reunited in 2012. The much anticipated tour is itself in promotion of a long-awaited new album, 13, which is the first studio album released by the band since Forbidden 1995, and the first to feature Ozzy Osbourne as lead vocalist since Never Say Die in 1978.
The North American leg kicks off on July 25 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Spring, TX, and runs until September 3 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. The tour will run for 21 dates and include stops in Philadelphia, PA; Tinley Park, IL; and Uncasville, CT. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday and Saturday.
Elsewhere, season 12 of American Idol is drawing to a close, and attention is beginning to turn to the annual summer tour featuring the competition's finalists. This year American Idol Live features 11 performers — the Top 10 plus sing-off winner Aubrey Cleland. The 40-date 2013 tour begins on June 29 at the Chaifetz Arena in Saint Louis, MO, and ends on August 31 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday.
Finally, folk rocker Bob Dylan is taking His Band on the road for the Americanarama Festival of Music. Wilco and My Morning Jacket will join Dylan on the tour, as will Bob Weir, the Richard Thompson Electric Trio, Ryan Bingham, and Beck for select dates. The tour begins on June 26 at Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, FL, and ends on August 4 at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA. Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday and Saturday.
After getting off to a good start this weekend, the NBA Playoffs continue this week with at least two games scheduled for each day this week. In all eight of the games that took place over the weekend, the home team was able to come away with the win. The road teams will now have to try to even their respective series in Game 2, starting tonight when the Bulls face the Nets in Brooklyn and the Grizzlies take on the Clippers in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, in concerts, the dates keep coming in for Paul McCartney's Out There! tour. Last week, the rocker added two dates at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Those onsales are on today. Finally, Blake Shelton has several more dates onsale this Friday for his Ten Times Crazier Tour, and the Allman Brothers Band have four late summer concerts onsale on Friday and Saturday.
Due to the ongoing manhunt for the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing, the city is pretty much shut down. Therefore, several events that were to go on tonight have been cancelled or postponed.
Red Sox vs. Kansas City Royals - According to the Red Sox website, the game scheduled for Friday has been postponed until a later date.
Bruins vs. Pittsburgh Penguins - According to the Bruins website, the game has been postponed tentatively until Saturday, April 20 at 12:30pm.
The Joy Formidable - According to their Twitter account, the Joy Formidable concert scheduled for Friday at the House of Blues has been postponed until June 20.
The Book of Mormon - According to the Boston Opera House website, the Book of Mormon show scheduled for Friday at the Boston Opera House has been cancelled.
