This week features a couple major tours, one involving an ensemble, and one a double headliner. There are also several big theater events.

First up is American Idol Live. This year's tour, which begins on June 24, features the top 10 contestants from the show's 13th season. Concerts will be held in theaters and amphitheaters, as opposed to the arenas from previous years. Most of the tour is on sale Friday, but a handful of shows go up on Saturday.

The other big concert onsale this coming week is Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull. The singer-songwriter and rapper duo hit the road beginning September 24. The majority of U.S. dates are on sale Friday.

Meanwhile, there are several touring theater productions on sale in the coming few days. Cirque du Soleil: Varekai has 14 shows on sale for Portland, ME, on Friday. Jesus Christ Superstar has seven shows on sale between Friday and Monday for a number of cities, including Saint Paul, MN; Vancouver, BC; and Portland, OR. Mamma Mia! has eight shows on sale Sunday for Boston, MA. Finally, Menopause, The Musical has two shows on sale Friday for Baltimore, MD.

The coming few days feature some of the most anticipated onsales of the 2014 concert season. First up is Jay-Z's and Beyonce's On the Run Tour. The husband-wife dual-headliner begins June 25 in Miami Gardens, FL, and ends August 5 in San Francisco, CA. Most of the performances have onsales tomorrow; the onsale date for one concert in E. Rutherford, NJ, is still to be determined.

Next up are some additional onsales for Paul McCartney. Most of the concerts for the 2014 leg of his Out There! Tour have already gone onsale, but the rocker recently added dates in Los Angeles and Phoenix. McCartney also added a concert at San Francisco's Candlestick Park, returning to the venue a couple years short of 50 years after The Beatles played their final concert there. This time the roles are reversed and McCartney is wishing farewell to the park.

The coming week has many more onsales, including ones for Miley Cyrus, Kings of Leon, The Lion King, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Move Live image

Move Live On Tour kicks off exactly one month from today in Park City, KS. Starring dancers (and siblings!) Julianne and Derek Hough, the show has been described as a "rock concert for dance" — one that fans of the duo probably shouldn't miss.

The tour includes more than 50 shows, with new performances being added daily due to popular demand. Here are 5 things you should know about Move Live On Tour before you get your tickets.

1. The show features solo, duet, and group dance performances.

On top of the dance numbers Julianne and Derek will perform together, they will also each have their own time to shine. Plus, the Move Company Dancers will join them on stage for a few group performances.

Theater news

In Broadway news this week, there's good news for shows like Holler If Ya Hear Me, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill. Plus, the countdown till the Tony nominees is on!

Holler If Ya Hear Me Gets a Star

Last July, it was announced a musical based on the music of Tupac Shakur would be heading to Broadway. Alas, there was no date, just a vague time frame and the knowledge that Tupac's music was the catalyst behind the production. Recently, the show not only got a firm debut date (June 19, 2014, with previews beginning May 26, 2014), but the cast was announced, too. Renowned slam poet, singer, and actor Saul Williams will take the title role in Holler If Ya Hear Me, alongside other Broadway veterans, such as Christopher Jackson (After Midnight), Saycon Sengbloh (Fela!), and Ben Thompson (Matilda). Tonya Pinkins, John Earl Jelks, Joshua Boone, and Dyllon Burnside round out the cast.
