After announcing its return earlier this year, Nine Inch Nails is continuing its revival with the revelation of tour dates for its first outing in four years. As first reported by Billboard this morning, the U.S. dates for "Nine Inch Nails: Tension 2013" kick off on September 28 in St. Paul, MN, and end on November 22 in Seattle, WA.
The last year has been a busy one for Trent Reznor and company. The first concerts on the tour come few weeks after the release of NIN's ninth studio album, Hesitation Marks, which is the band's first since 2008. That year, the band released not one, but two albums: the massive four-disc Ghosts I-IV and the more traditionally-sized The Slip. The new record also marks the end of Reznor's experimentation with independent distribution, after he famously and very publicly left Interscope Records after releasing Year Zero in 2007. Reportedly, he discovered that going indy had more drawbacks than it initially seemed.
