Is a Miley Cyrus song better when it has nothing to do with Miley Cyrus at all? VCU Pep Band decided to test that theory when they tackled Miley's song, "Wrecking Ball," doing an instrumental (and pretty dope) version of the song during the VCU vs. George Mason game on Thursday. It's worth a full watch, but watch at 1:48 for the kitty in outer space, a nod to Miley's American Music Awards performance. Nicely done.
It's important to start each Sunday morning off with a dose of good internet videos. This one, of a baby riding a Roomba, is pretty great. The only better Roomba-related videos I can think of are "Cat In A Shark Costume Chases A Duck While Riding A Roomba" and a clip from "Parks and Recreation" about DJ Roomba. That's some stiff competition, but the baby is pretty cute, too.
You've probably heard the version of Lady Gaga's latest single, "Do What U Want," featuring R. Kelly. She performed it on a handful of award shows and it's also played pretty regularly on most top 40 radio stations.
However, Gaga recently stopped by "The Voice," where Christina Aguilera stepped in for an absent R. Kelly to complete the duet. Gaga released an official, slightly remixed version featuring Aguilera, which can be heard at right.
Which version do you prefer?
It's Gratuitous Animal Video Day, a holiday I just made up! This video is all about dogs who try to walk by the house cats and are too scared to do so... because cats are mean. At least according to these dogs (and who am I to disagree?). Enjoy!
Can we all agree that sitting in traffic is the worst? But this guy, known as "Dancing Cop" around Providence, is a retired police officer who helps make traffic less awful. He's been doing his dancing gig on and off since 1984. Through Christmas Eve every year, "Dancing Cop" (whose real name is Tony Lepore) will help make traffic a little less awful. My favorite part of the video (which, to be fair, is from 2011, but still worth a re-watch if it's been a while since you seen it) is that Dancing Cop is kind of sassy.
