Since I talked about "The Office" finale at length already, I won't include that in this week's post. But just know this: OMG. In addition to "The Office," we'll also say goodbye to an SNL cast member; the cutest graduate said goodbye to college; and Barbara Walters says goodbye to television.
Bill Hader leaves SNL
This week, Bill Hader announced that Saturday's SNL episode will be his last. His decision to leave the show follows that news that Seth Meyers will be leaving Weekend Update to take over Jimmy Fallon's late-night hosting gig. Hader told the New York Times, "It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point." For eight years, Hader played characters like the smarmy game show host; Herb Welch, a not-so-great reporter; and, of course, Stefon, a frequent Weekend Update guest who gave tips for the hottest spots in NYC, usually in the form of nightclubs that were so bizarre Hader couldn't stay in character. (See a mash-up of great Stefon moments in the video.) Mostly, Bill Hader was one of those SNL members who seemed like he'd be on the show forever. And we kinda liked it that way.

Star Trek early release
"Star Trek Into Darkness" was originally supposed to be released Friday, May 17. But trekkies are getting so antsy that the movie release has been moved up one day. According to Paramount, the Wednesday evening IMAX showings are already sold out, so movie execs wanted to give fans a chance to see the film even if they weren’t able to nab tickets. Plus, with movies like "Iron Man 3" and "The Great Gatsby" opening early overseas, they figured: why not? Personally, I’m pretty excited to see the film. I still love that they found a way to write Leonard Nimoy (original Spock) into the first movie to appear alongside Zachary Quinto (new Spock), even if it was a little hokey. But others seem to dig it, too, as evidenced by the latest Audi commercial (above)!

This week, Ellen DeGeneres meets Ellen DeGeneres, Beyonce kicks off her tour, and the cutest birthday gift ever is something we can’t even try to top.
Ellen DeGeneres (times two!)
Ellen DeGeneres is widely adored, especially because she's so funny, seems down-to-earth, and can take a joke. While many celebrities might get offended by impersonations done by the cast of SNL, Ellen not only invited Kate McKinnon onto the show, but encouraged Kate to do her impersonation while the two were together. Ellen even gave Kate a matching outfit to really complete the gag. The result was pretty hilarious, as seen in the video (above). Kate takes on Ellen's dance moves and even kind of sounds like her, if a bit exaggerated. I loved every second of it.

This week, we've been inspired by everyone who came together following the Boston Marathon tragedy, amused by a Pixar/AMC mash-up, and giggling uncontrollably at things that sounds like "bad words" on TV.
Bruins/Sabres National Anthem
The recent Boston bombings have been on everyone’s minds this week, with an overwhelming amount of support for Boston throughout the country. The hashtag #BostonStrong has been trending on Twitter, alongside tweets of support and well wishes, including the Boston Red Sox. At a Yankees v. Diamondbacks game earlier this week, the team paid tribute to their longtime rivals, Boston Red Sox, by playing “Sweet Caroline” — the song that’s become a staple of the Red Sox at Fenway Park. The first Boston home game (Boston Bruins played Buffalo Sabres at TD Garden) gave us what could arguably be one of the best National Anthem performances ever. Rene Rancourt, who was intended to sing the song, got through only a few lines before the entire crowd joined in. They sang the rest together.
