Hurricane Sandy postponements and closures continued

View Comments(0)

Even though Hurricane Sandy is over, the cleanup is only starting. New York and New Jersey are still recovering from the storm. A lot of lower Manhattan is still out of electricity, and subways in the area are down. Compounding the problem is the fact that some airports are still shut down or are still getting back into the swing of things. This is impeding some artists from travelling. So a bunch of upcoming concerts or shows are being cancelled or postponed, and this will likely continue into next week.

We're still keeping our original cancellation and postponement list updated. If you don't see your show or concert on there, it is recommended that you check the website, Twitter page, or Facebook page of the artist in question, or the venue's pages.

Hurricane Sandy postponements and cancellations

Path of Hurricane Sandy as of October 28 at 5pm EDT

Hurricane Sandy is projected to hit the New Jersey-New York metro area with very high winds and heavy precipitation between tonight and tomorrow. We can expect cancellations and postponements of events from a number of performers and productions in the area. Here are some of the ones we know about.

Keep in mind that this is by no means an exhaustive list. If you are planning to attend any kind of event in the New Jersey-New York-Southern Connecticut-Boston area on Sunday or Monday, then check the website for the event, other outreach sources like Twitter and Facebook, and local media for news. Virtually all public transportation in the New York City/New Jersey metro area is shut down until further notice, so other events not listed here may also be postponed or cancelled.

Some cake for our 5th Anniversary

You can't have a big celebration like a fifth anniversary without cake, can you? We didn't think so, either, so we got a cake. A big cake. Too much for our small team, so we shared with the rest of the company.

Tim suggested we create a timelapse video of the cake cutting, so we did. It actually turned out to be a bit of an ordeal, so I added in some color commentary. Enjoy!
