The NFL is at Week 14 already and the season is getting dangerously close to being over (NOOOOOOO!!). Only a few teams have risen to the top of the league, but most are still fighting for a spot in the playoffs. The leads of three divisions are either tied or only have a one-game separation between the leader and the second place team. A total of 17 teams are vying for the 12 available postseason spots and many of the games this weekend will help make the playoff picture a little clearer.
As of right now, only two teams, the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers, have clinched spots in the postseason. The Patriots, Texans, Steelers and Saints all have a chance to punch their tickets to the postseason this week with wins combined with losses from other teams. Needless to say, many teams see the playoffs in their sights.
Here are the NFL Game Power Rankings for Week 14:
1. Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants
Average Ticket Price: $196.92
After inexplicably icing his own kicker by calling a timeout as kicker Dan Bailey attempted a game-winning field goal, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has been under fire all week. But he doesn't have time to dwell on last week with the NFC East Division lead in the balance this Sunday against the Giants.
2. Green Bay Packers vs. Oakland Raiders
Average Ticket Price: $195.47
The Packers came dangerously close to losing last week against the Giants, needing a last-minute drive to win by three points. They will have to make sure not to have a letdown against a Raiders team that could be without three of their most explosive offensive players, all out with foot injuries: RB Darren McFadden, WR Jacoby Ford and WR Denarius Moore.
3. Denver Broncos vs. Chicago Bears
Average Ticket Price: $177.61
Another week and another dramatic win for Tim Tebow and the Broncos, this time over the Vikings. With last week's win, Tebow is now 7-1 this season as the Broncos starting quarterback, and he should get another win this Sunday against the Bears, who will be without both their starting quarterback and running back, who are both out with injuries.
4. Baltimore Ravens vs. Indianapolis Colts
Average Ticket Price: $160.57
The Ravens basically get a bye week with their game against the Colts. Now 0-12, the Colts have been outscored by their opponents by a combined 184 points, the most in the NFL.
5. Washington Redskins vs. New England Patriots
Average Ticket Price: $142.54
The Redskins welcome their second AFC East opponent in a row to FedEx Field; this week it’s Tom Brady and the Patriots. The Redskins will have to rely on LB Brian Orakpo to get pressure on Brady because that seems to be the only way to slow down the high-powered Pats offense.
6. Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns
Average Ticket Price: $142.17
With the Ravens all but assured a win this week against the Colts, the Steelers will have to make sure they take care of the Browns on Sunday to keep pace in the AFC North. Luckily, Pittsburgh is 5-1 this season at home while Cleveland is only 1-4 on the road.
7. Tennessee Titans vs. New Orleans Saints
Average Ticket Price: $116.10
The Saints showed everyone last Sunday night that they are still a force to be reckoned with in the NFC. The team is second in the NFL in points per game and leads the league in both total yards and passing yards. The Titans defense could be in for a long day.
8. Miami Dolphins vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Average Ticket Price: $98.91
Since starting the season 0-7, the Dolphins have been among the hottest teams in the NFL, winning four of their last five games. They will have to compete against QB Michael Vick, who returns to the Eagles line-up after missing the past three games because of broken ribs.
9. San Diego Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills
Average Ticket Price: $95.57
At 5-7, the Chargers are holding on (albeit by the skin of their teeth) to the hopes of a playoff berth. The team is only two games behind the division-leading Raiders and Broncos, and will face the reeling Bills this Sunday in San Diego.
10. New York Jets vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Average Ticket Price: $92.26
Although the final score looked like a blowout, the Jets trailed the Redskins in the fourth quarter last week. They will be favored this week against the Chiefs, who will once again turn to back-up quarterback Tyler Palko to lead their offense. So far this season, Palko has thrown just one touchdown, while getting intercepted six times.
11. Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings
Average Ticket Price: $91.15
The Lions’ youth shined through last week against the Saints when they committed 11 penalties for 107 yards, many of which came at critical points of the game. After starting 5-0, Detroit has lost five of their last seven and will have to mature quickly if they want a chance at the postseason.
12. Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons
Average Ticket Price: $78.01
Rookie Panthers QB Cam Newton has done a little bit of everything this season in his first year in the NFL. He has accounted for 26 touchdowns (13 passing, 13 rushing) and last week he caught his first pass of the season, nearly taking it for a touchdown.
13. Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers
Average Ticket Price: $75.27
By beating the St. Louis Rams last Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers were able to clinch the NFC West title and now can turn their sights towards a first-round bye. They can't sleep on the Cardinals, who are pesky at home and are coming off a thrilling overtime win against the Cowboys.
14. Seattle Seahawks vs. St. Louis Rams
Average Ticket Price: $67.76
Yuck. This game is arguably the biggest stinker on the schedule. Worst of all, it's the Monday Night Football game! I'm guessing that ESPN sees record-low ratings for this one.
15. Cincinnati Bengals vs. Houston Texans
Average Ticket Price: $65.59
Come on Bengals fans! How is this game ranked lower than the Seahawks-Rams yawnfest? The Bengals have one of the most exciting young duos in the NFL in A.J. Green and Andy Dalton, while the Texans have been among the AFC's best teams all year. This should actually be a really good game.
16. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Average Ticket Price: $54.90
And to nobody's surprise, a Jaguars home game is last on our list. The Jags don't exactly have a rabid fanbase, as it was recently reported that they have the smallest number of Facebook fans in the NFL, at fewer than 230,000 fans. Compare that to the more than four million that are fans of the Cowboys.
