After five long months of NFL football, we are finally down to the final two teams and are getting ready for Super Bowl XLVI! This year's game will feature the AFC Champion New England Patriots against the NFC Champion New York Giants in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII.
The regular season for both of these teams did not exactly go the same. The Patriots once again rode the arm of quarterback Tom Brady to a record of 13-3, but they had to overcome the fact that they had one of the worst defenses in the league. The Giants, on the other hand, were inconsistent all season, needing a win in Week 17 just to qualify for the playoffs, but they are now arguably the hotter team going into the Super Bowl with their defense dominating their opponents for the last several weeks.
The average price for Super Bowl tickets sold so far this year on the TicketNetwork Exchange is $2,796, which is down almost $400 from 2008, the last time these two met in the Super Bowl. Of course, in 2008 the Patriots were going to an undefeated season.
Needless to say, this is going to be a great game and I can't wait! (Especially considering I'm a Patriots fan!!)
