One Direction look set to capitalise on the success of their first album ‘Up All Night’ and subsequent rise to global superstardom, with the confirmed release of their latest album Take Me Home, due on November 12th.

The first single will be ‘Live While We’re Young’, a track that rocketed to the top of the iTunes charts in more than 40 countries, despite no-one ever hearing the song! That’s a big achievement!

The album will consist of 11 new songs, with the deluxe yearbook edition containing four bonus videos, and from the many rumours doing the rounds it looks set to be a cracker. "Live While We’re Young" was written by Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk and Savan Kotecha, the same trio responsible for "What Makes You Beautiful", and according to reports has been described as a "piece of pop-perfection".

Other confirmed songwriters include Brit hit-maker Ed Sheeran and McFly dude Tom Fletcher, who both penned tracks for One Direction’s first album. In order to make sure the boys’ sophomore effort was just as successful as Up All Night, Simon Cowell challenged songwriters the world over to submit potential material, and it’s rumoured that the record label had hundreds of submissions, with each artist vying to have their song chosen by the band.

Earlier this year, an apparent 'leak' of a song titled "With You" made its way onto YouTube, quickly getting thousands and thousands of views as fans flocked to see if it really was a new One Direction song. The writer and singer, Richard Mason, has admitted that he wrote the song for the band, but declined to say whether it was chosen or not. It's quite a catchy track, though!

Further rumoured, but not confirmed, songwriters include Scouting for Girls, Boyce Avenue, Mika and Scottish rockers The View. Canadian superstar Justin Bieber has also been heavily rumoured to have worked on some joint material with the band. Bieber and 1D; a sure-fire recipe to set teenagers hearts racing!

The release of Take Me Home, perfectly timed just for Christmas, should guarantee that One Direction are high up on every teenagers wishlist. And with a huge six-month tour set to kick off in February 2013, the search for tickets for One Direction just might be making parents pull their hair out, as every single concert is completely sold out on the primary market!
