I hope y'all like pop stars, Oprah, and boy bands, because that's where this post is going. You're welcome!
Pop Star Comebacks
As we mentioned earlier this week, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have released new music to kick off their returns to the world of pop music. One of their singles, "Applause" and "Roar," will likely oust "Blurred Lines" singer Robin Thicke from the Billboard Hot 100 next week. Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake took to Instagram to release the entire track list for the second half of "The 20/20 Experience." Some of his new songs include "True Blood," "Cabaret," and "Murder." Justin Timberlake also announced some new fall dates for his tour. More Justin Timberlake = happy world.
Oprah stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her upcoming film, "The Butler." They chatted about her role and working with Forest Whitaker, but it wouldn't have been an Oprah appearance without a little something extra. She told Jimmy she started getting "that feeling again. You know, that feeling." And then she selected an audience member in the audience and said... "You get a car!" Cue confetti and us all acknowledging that Oprah is amazing.
America's Got Boy Bands
So this one is kind of for me, and maybe only I was talking about it, but the Backstreet Boys were on "America's Got Talent" on Wednesday and they performed two songs — their newest single, "In A World Like This" and That Song You Are Embarrassed To Admit You Know All The Words To, "I Want It That Way." Since I have been a fan for 15 years, I get to say this: they didn't sound great. BUT WHO CARES?! I'm on my way to New Jersey to meet them! #boybandsforever
