As probably already know, Prince is back. Earlier in 2013, he released a lyric video for his song, "Screwdriver," followed by a small West Coast tour with his backup band, 3rdeyegirl. They released another song and video, "Fixurlifeup," shortly after.
Over the summer, he and his band performed at a few festivals. Then Prince made his return really worthwhile when he released his single, "Breakfast Can Wait," an image from comedian Dave Chapelle's impersonation of Prince on "Chappelle's Show" as the single's cover art. Who can resist an artist who can laugh at himself?
On Oct. 5, Prince made headlines when he and his band, NPG, put on a last-minute show in his home, which he calls Paisley Park. They only gave two days notice and the entrance fee was a $50 donation. Apparently Prince loved how that turned out because today, he's offering a pajama party for his fans.
Prince said he will open his home once again to his fans for a show on Saturday, Oct. 19, starting at 2 a.m. This concert will be more casual than the less show, and attendees are encouraged to wear — what else? — pajamas. This show, called he Breakfast Experience Pajama Dance Party, will feature Prince and his band 3rdEyeGirl.
