Did you watch the American Music Awards last night? That's okay, I didn't either. But I do know there are some things people are talking about — Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake walking away with the most awards, for example, and the sheer volume of performances. There were performances by Rihanna, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, One Direction, Imagine Dragons, Arianna Grande, and Justin Timberlake, as well as these three people are still buzzing about:
TLC Features Lil Mama
It was 20 years ago when TLC first performed at the AMAs. Last night, T-Boz and Chilli reunited to sing their hit, "Waterfalls." Lil Mama, who portrayed Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in the TLC biopic that aired on VH1 earlier this month, joined the two on stage and rapped Left Eye's verse.
Miley Cyrus Sings with a Cat
Remember that infamous performance with Robin Thicke? While the outfit Miley is wearing in this "Wrecking Ball" performance is similar, little else is — mostly because she's singing next to a giant projection of a kitten flying through space, who miraculously knows all of the "Wrecking Ball" lyrics. Also, the jewelry, the crying, etc.
Lady Gaga and R. Kelly Channel the White House
Gaga and R. Kelly are two over-the-top performers who are making this new single, "Do What U Want," work for them. They recently had a risque SNL performance but this performance featured R. Kelly played the president, while Gaga played a Marilyn Monroe-esque mistress.
Which performance was your favorite from last night?
