January 2013 Events Image

As we roll into 2014, we say farewell to all of the holiday-themed concerts that were so prevalent last month. Instead, it's time to start thinking about new tours, football, and a near-dead Broadway roster. (Just kidding about the last one, kind of.)

In concerts, the country music genre takes the reigns, with popular acts like George Strait and Florida Georgia Line kicking off their tours this year. Sports fans can check out the BCS National Championship Game (Florida State vs. Auburn) or any of the NFL playoffs. Lastly, in theater, three new shows will open up, including Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

Here's our hand-picked list of the January's best live events in concerts, sports, and theater!

Luke Bryan: The country crooner's 2014 tour, That's My Kind of Night, is a follow-up to his 2013 Dirt Road Diaries tour. This one kicks off in Columbus, OH, Jan. 16 and continues well into 2014; it includes two special Madison Square Garden shows, on Jan. 25 and Sept. 12.
