What People Are Talking About

Miley Cyrus tweet

Miley Cyrus vs. Beyonce

Miley Cyrus is never one to shy away from the spotlight and she made headlines recently when some scathing anti-Beyonce quotes were attributed to her. According to one magazine, Miley told them that Beyonce's decision to have a baby "and all the crap it does to your body... will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now." The quote also said, "I got the total package you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I’m just the best." But Miley took to Twitter immediately and said the quotes were entirely falsified and insisted she admires Beyonce. So things are all good.

R.I.P. James Avery/Uncle Phil

Fans of the "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" were sad to learn that James Avery — also known as Uncle Phil on the show — passed away this week at age 68. Avery has appeared in a slew of films and television shows, including "The Closer," "CSI," "That '70s Show," and, most recently, Zach Braff's follow-up to "Garden State" entitled "Wish I Was Here" which will premiere later this year at Sundance. But his most notable role was undoubtedly as Uncle Phil, the stern but lovable uncle to pretty much everyone who watched. Check out some of his best moments on "The Fresh Prince" right here.

Winter Storm Hercules

Winter Storm Hercules

Despite each winter coming and leaving us waist-deep in snow and making us all miserable, whenever there is a storm, we all freak out. The latest storm to visit the East Coast is "Hercules" and it sucks because it's winter and snow is the worst. So it's cold. Really, really cold. Like, sub-zero-temperature cold. There's snow everywhere. We have to dig our cars out. And most of the East Coast has officially dubbed it a stay-under-the-blankets snow day. Stay warm!
