Artists Who Should Tour Together

With news that Eminem and Rihanna will be teaming up for a very brief, three-city tour in August, I'm daydreaming about other artists I'd like to see together. It seems to be becoming a bit of a trend for popular artists to co-headline tours — Jay Z and Justin Timberlake; Paul Simon and Sting; Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5; Lionel Richie and CeeLo Green; and Fall Out Boy and Paramore have all recently taken part.

These are a few other artists I'd like to see co-headline a tour together.

Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga

After the release of their version of "Do What U Want," they could easily justify a co-headlined tour. Both women have big voices and likely share some overlap in fans; they both release radio-friendly pop hits that tend to top the charts. It's been a while since Aguilera went out on tour (her last was in 2010 for her album "Bionic") so a co-headlined tour with one of music's biggest superstars could be just what she needs.

Rihanna and Katy Perry

Rihanna and Katy Perry have the kind of silly friendship many might envy. They've been seen goofing off together at awards shows, are frequently photographed together hanging out, and overall just seem to have a good time when they're together. So imagine the tour? There's no doubt it would bring the light-hearted, over-the-top costumes and set designs from a Katy Perry tour and mash it together with the sultry set Rihanna famously puts on at her shows, making for a really awesome time for everyone. Plus, this would serve as an excuse for the two to create a song together. (Get on that!)

Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons

If their performance at this year's Grammys were any indication of what these two could do together, I'm in. They received lots of praise for their collaboration, despite many vocalizing skepticism prior to the show. This tour would be cross-genre and a fun way to expose one fan base to another artist's music.

Jay Z and Beyonce

This is, without a doubt, my ultimate dream tour. At this point in their career, they could probably only sing songs they've collaborated on together and still have an incredible set. "Crazy In Love"? "03 Bonnie and Clyde"? "Drunk In Love"? "Part II (On the Run)"? "Deja Vu"? Um, yes, and that's not even all of the songs they've collaborated on. In my mind, I imagine they open the show together, then Beyonce ducks out and allows Jay to perform his set; halfway through, Bey joins him again, they perform an entire set together, then Jay bows out and Beyonce performs. And then they come together for a song or two to close the concert, culminating in the most incredible concert of all time. Ugh, now I'm sad this isn't real.

Which artists would you like to see tour together?
