June 2014 Events Image

Summer concerts are undoubtedly the most exciting part about June. There are tours from Elton John, Ringo Starr, Kiss & Def Leppard, and Blake Shelton, as well as the hugely successful On the Run Tour from Jay Z and Beyonce. Then the singing competition shows hit the road, too; tours for "The Voice" and "American Idol" begin at the end of the month.

In sports, the hockey and basketball seasons wrap up, but not before games that everyone will be tuning into. The Summer X Games take place in Dallas, TX and various wrestling events flesh out the month of June. Meanwhile, it's another relatively quiet month on Broadway, with only one show opening and a handful dropping their curtains. But there are plenty of touring productions to look forward to!

Let's look closer at a handful of the upcoming live events in June.

Elton John: This year, Elton John not only celebrates the 40th anniversary of his record, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," but he'll embark on a worldwide tour that continues through the end of 2014. The tour launches June 11 in Charleston, WV.
