It's the middle of summer and there are two kinds of people: those who want to spend some time outside, basking in the sun, and those who want nothing more than to take shelter in the nearest air conditioned building. Thankfully, there's live entertainment in both camps this month.

For those wishing to soak up the sun, there are several tours that visit outdoor arenas, like Phish and Justin Timberlake, as well as a handful of outdoor festivals, including Summerfest and Pitchfork Music Festival. There are also baseball games jam-packed through July.

But for a break from the heat, wrestling events such as WWE Background might do the trick, or there are theater events, including Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which Neil Patrick Harris will soon be leaving, and Marvel Universe Live!, a superhero-filled, live action adventure people of all ages will enjoy.

Here's a closer look at what's happening this July.

Concerts

Justin Timberlake: The pop singer kicks off his second North American leg for The 20/20 Experience World Tour on July 9. Timberlake will first visit Buffalo, NY, and is scheduled to wrap his tour just before Christmas, on Dec. 20.
