At the conclusion of the college football season, the NCAA Division I programs that have at least six wins and a non-losing record are eligible to be selected to play in one of thirty-four bowl games. The College Bowl game series lasts from December 20, 2008 until January 08, 2009. The Tournament of Roses, or Rose Bowl, is nicknamed "The Granddaddy of Them All," since it is the oldest bowl game in college football history and the final game in the series. It has been played annually for the past 93 years.
