TicketNetwork Advisory - Bruce Springsteen Tickets in High Demand

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT--(Marketwire - Jan 27, 2012) - Heartland rocker Bruce Springsteen is returning to the road this spring with a whole new set of tour dates in support of his latest album Wrecking Ball, which will be released on March 6. The Wrecking Ball Tour will begin on March 18 in Atlanta, GA, and end on May 2 in Newark, NJ. This is Springsteen's first new tour in more than two years; the last was in 2009.

The long wait and a relatively limited selection of concerts mean that Bruce Springsteen tickets are in high demand. That, in turn, has resulted in higher prices, as fewer concerts means there is more competition for seats. The upcoming tour has only 18 dates currently scheduled compared to Springsteen's 2009 tour, which had 58, with many venues scheduling multiple shows. Consequently, the average price on the TicketNetwork Exchange* for the 2009 tour was $173, nearly 108% lower than the current average price of $361 for this year's set of shows.

If the Wrecking Ball Tour follows the pattern of his previous tours, Springsteen may announce more dates in the future, which would give more fans a chance to find seats and help lower average prices.
