98° and Rising (1998)
In April 2016, it was announced that 98 Degrees would be teaming up with O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, and Dream for the MY2K Tour. The trek kicks off at Hartman Arena in Valley Center, KS on July 8. From there, the groups will crisscross the country, stopping at venues such as Revention Music Center in Houston, Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, IL, the House of Blues in Boston, and MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa. The tour's last performance is scheduled to take place on August 28 at Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA. Get your 98 Degrees tickets before they're gone!
98 Degrees was formed by Jeff Timmons, Nick Lachey, Justin Jeffre, and Drew Lachey in 1997. While trying to make a name for themselves in Los Angeles, the group took up a series of odd jobs such as landscaping and working as club security. 98 Degrees often auditioned around the city, building up contacts in the music industry.
98 Degrees' big break came while attending a Boyz II Men concert, where they were asked to perform live on the air for a local radio station covering the concert. Then eventually signed with Motown. The band released their debut single, "Invisible Man" in June 1997. The song was certified gold and reached number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Their debut album, 98° was released the same year. 98 Degrees went on to release 98° and Rising and Revelation before breaking up in 2002. In 2012, 98 Degrees reassembled, and a year later the group released their fourth studio album, 2.0.
