Aaron Lewis is best known for his time with the hard rock band Staind, but away from the band he is still an extremely talented singer and songwriter. While a member of Staind, Lewis was nominated for three Grammys for his musical abilities. Now he is touring doing acoustic solo shows, where fans of Staind who buy tickets get to see a different side of the talented musician.
Lewis was born on April 13, 1972, in Rutland, Vermont. He began his career in music as part of the band J-CAT along with future Staind bandmate Jon Wysocki. After Lewis met guitarist Mike Mushok at a Christmas party, they were able to bring together the members of the band that would grow to fame as Staind. The band released a total of six albums as of 2008, beginning with their self-released Tormented in 1996. While the album did not achieve commercial success, it helped them get recognized. Staind's most successful album was Break the Cycle, which went 8x platinum and featured the single "It's Been Awhile." Lewis' powerful voice and words helped the song reach #5 on the Billboard chart.
