Adele - "25"

In August 2015, it was announced by Billboard that Adele's first album in almost five years is to be released in November 2015. On October 18, 2015, a 30-second ad appeared on UK television during a commercial break on The X Factor teasing new music from Adele. A few days later, Adele confirmed in a statement that she would be releasing a new album titled 25 on November 20.

The following day, Adele released the album's lead single "Hello." The video for "Hello," released on October 22 broke first-day YouTube viewing records, with 27.7 million views in the video's first 24 hours on the video sharing website.

Adele's "Hello" quickly climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and sold a record shattering 1.1 million downloads in its first week according to Nielsen Music. "Hello" became the first song in history to sell over 1 million copies in one week, easily surpassing the previous record set by Flo Rida's "Right Round," which sold 636,000 downloads in its first week.

On November 17 Adele will perform a special concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, which will air as a special on NBC, titled "Adele Live in New York City" on December 14, 2015. Adele has also been named the musical guest for November 21's episode of Saturday Night Live.

As with Adele's past two albums, it is expected that she will launch a world tour in 25's support. Check back on for Adele tickets in the near future!

Adele Biography

Adele Adkins was born on May 5, 1988 in London, England. She was raised by her single-mother, who was 18 at the time Adele was born. From a young age, Adele was interested in singing, claiming she was "obsessed with voices." Adele's favorite group was the Spice Girls and she would often impersonate the group at dinner parties growing up. Other artists she credits with her influence, include Aaliyah, Destiny's Child, Mary J. Blige, Pink, Amy Winehouse, Etta James, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Adele attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology, where she was classmates with singers Leona Lewis and Jessie. J. During her time at the school Adele recorded a three-song demo as part of a class project, which her friend posted on Myspace. The tracks gained popularity and Adele was consequently offered a record deal with XL Records, which she accepted in September 2006.

After signing with XL Records, she released her first single "Hometown Glory," which gained her a large following in the UK. The following year she released another popular single "Chasing Pavements." A week later Adele released her first album 19. The album quickly topped the charts at home, but took longer to gain recognition in the United States. However, after an appearance on Saturday Night Live, 19 rose into the top 20. Having gained a new large fanbase, Adele embarked on a U.S. tour shortly afterward.

In 2009, Adele was recognized for her efforts after she won Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, as well as Best Female Vocal Performance for "Chasing Pavements." After Adele's tour ended, she began work on her next album. The first sense of that effort came in the form of two singles. The first was the blues-gospel song "Rolling in the Deep," which became Adele's first number one single in the United States. The second was "Someone Like You," a song reflective of a previous relationship, which reached number one in the UK. Both songs further cemented Adele's status among fans.

21 was released in January 2011 to great fanfare and overwhelming praise by critics, reaching number one on charts in numerous countries. Adele went on tour in support of the album during spring and summer of that year.

On November 20, 2015, Adele will release her third album, 25.
