Aida Plot Summary
The opera takes place in ancient Egypt, as an Ethiopian princess named Aida is captured and made a slave in Egypt. An Egyptian military commander, Radames, falls in love with Aida, but he struggles to choose between his love for the princess and his loyalty to the Pharaoh. He also must deal with the Pharaoh's daughter, who has fallen in love with him. Will Aida and Radames live happily ever after? Or will they be kept apart by their circumstances?
