About the All Star Acoustic Jam

The All Star Acoustic Jam is hosted by Central Florida's K92 FM. It began many years ago as a celebrity golf tournament but evolved into the jam at the suggestion of Kenny Chesney. The very first All Star Acoustic Jam was held in 1995, featuring Ricochet, Lonestar, Mark Wills, and a few other artists. The following year, the first "official" All Star Acoustic Jam was held at the downtown country hot spot, :08, and featured Lari White, James Bonamy, Chad Brock, Neal McCoy and Tracy Byrd.

The 2002 All Star Acoustic Jam was a memorable event and featured Emerson Drive, Rascal Flatts, Trick Pony, Tracy Byrd, and all the other artists doing everything from ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd to George Jones and Charlie Rich. By 2004, the All Star Acoustic Jam had outgrown its home at :08 and moved to Hard Rock Live at Universal CityWalk. The 2004 Jam featured superstar Clint Black, who played until he was pulled off the stage at one o'clock in the morning!

The 2008 All Star Acoustic Jam celebrated its fifth year at Hard Rock Live, with a lineup that included Jake Owen, Clay Walker, Tracy Lawrence, Mark Chesnutt, Joe Nichols, Heartland, Jim Van Fleet & The Reign, and a special surprise guest! As has been the case every year since 1998, a portion of the proceeds from the 2008 All Star Acoustic Jam went to benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses of Orlando.
