Ani DiFranco - History

In a day and age where musicians are constantly changing their sound to fit in with the mainstream, Ani DiFranco has always stayed strong to her ideals. While she has never had a hit record or number one single, Ani DiFranco rigorously tours the country. She had built a huge fan base that buy tickets to hear her empowering words and sounds.

Ani DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in Buffalo, New York. At the young age of nine years old, she was already playing Beatles cover songs and performing with her guitar teacher. As Ani DiFranco moved through her teen years, she continued to play music and in 1989 she established her own record label, "Righteous Babe Records". To this day she continues to release albums under that label, including her first album the self titled Ani DiFranco. Since then she has released nearly twenty more studio albums, with plenty more to come.
