Little Orphan Annie is a comic strip by Harold Gray, which inspired the stage musical and movie Annie. The musical ran for almost six years during its initial run on Broadway, setting a residency record at the Alvin Theatre (now the Neil Simon Theatre). Since then, the show has been on several national tours, and a movie was produced in 1982, starring Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, Bernadette Peters and other stars of stage and screen. A remake was also released in 1999. The most popular and well known songs for those with Annie tickets are "Tomorrow," "It’s the Hard Knock Life," "Little Girls" and more.
