Little Orphan Annie is a comic strip by Harold Gray, which inspired the stage musical and movie Annie. The musical ran for almost six years during its initial run on Broadway, setting a residency record at the Alvin Theatre (now the Neil Simon Theatre). Since then, the show has been on several national tours, and a movie was produced in 1982, starring Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, Bernadette Peters and other stars of stage and screen. A remake was also released in 1999. The most popular and well known songs for those with Annie tickets are "Tomorrow," "It’s the Hard Knock Life," "Little Girls" and more. Annie is a young orphan living in an orphanage run by Miss Hannigan. She manages to escape from the orphanage and finds a dog, who she names Sandy. However, Miss Hannigan has sent the police after her, so she gets taken back to the orphanage.
Meanwhile, a billionaire named Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks asks for an orphan to come to his house for Christmas, and since Annie is already in Miss Hannigan’s office, she is chosen. As she forms a relationship with Warbucks and his assistant Grace, they pledge to find her real parents. Calamity ensues, as hundreds of would-be parents try to claim Annie as their own for the reward offered. Get Annie tickets to find out what happens next!
