About the Diamondbacks

Home Stadium: Chase Field

Opened:1998
Seating Capacity:48,633
Address:401 East Jefferson Street
Phoenix, AZ 85004

Along with the Tampa Bay Rays, the Arizona Diamondbacks are one of the youngest franchises in Major League Baseball, only joining the league in 1998 as an expansion team. From their inception through the present, the D'backs have played at Chase Field, which is formerly known as Bank One Ballpark. The stadium is often referred to as "The BOB," thanks to the initials of its former name, and is unique from other ballparks across baseball because of its pool just over its centerfield wall.

In the franchise's brief existence, Diamondback fans have had the privilege of watching plenty of winning teams. The team has won five National League West titles to date, most recently in 2011. Of those successes, the most memorable for the people of Arizona came in 2001. Behind ace pitchers Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling, the Diamondbacks captured not only the division title, but were also able to win the National League Championship and eventually went on to defeat the vaunted New York Yankees in seven games to win the franchises one and only World Series title.

Now the team is rebuilding the roster, looking to once again put together a World Series caliber team. The franchise has some young players to build around including Paul Goldschmidt and Mark Trumbo, two power hitters who have already been All-Stars early into their careers.

If you want to see head to Chase Field this season, make sure you get your D back tickets soon and TicketNetwork.com can help connect you to great seats for any game this season!
