Her commercial success was complimented by her success during the award season. Avril Lavigne has been nominated for a total of eight Grammy Awards, including Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. She has also won multiple awards from the World Music Awards for Best Pop/Rock Artist, Best Canadian Artist and World's Best Selling Pop/Rock Female Artist, among others.
