The Great Bamboozle Festival is a two-day rock concert that is held in the parking lot of the New York Giant's East Rutherford, New Jersey stadium each year. The event originated in 2003, was held at Asbury Park at The Stone Pony, and featured Keller Williams, The Roots, and Dark Star Orchestra along with thirty other bands on four stages. In 2005, the event became known as just "The Bamboozle" and featured over 150 bands!
In 2006, The Bamboozle moved to its current location in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and The Bamboozle Left began, which is a West Coast version of the traditional Bamboozle Festival. Notable performers to have appeared through 2007 at either Bamboozle include Sonic Youth, My Chemical Romance, The Starting Line, Taking Back Sunday, Fall Out Boy, Dashboard Confessional, Brand New, and Linkin Park.
This year will mark another milestone in the history of The Bamboozle: the addition of two new components to the festivities. A new festival called The Hoodwink will be held the night before The Bamboozle, and the artists performing in The Bamboozle will head out on tour for the first ever Bamboozle Roadshow. The Roadshow will actually be divided into four separate tours because so many artists are involved. The different sections of the Roadshow are scheduled to meet up several times throughout the duration of the tour for daylong mini festivals, in cities such as Boston, Rochester, and New York.
Artists scheduled to appear at The 2008 Bamboozle, Bamboozle Left, Hoodwink, and Bamboozle Roadshow include: A Day to Remember, Aiden, Alkaline Trio, Anti-Flag, As Tall as Lions, Bayside, Cobra Starship, Cute Is What We Aim For, Dance Gavin Dance, Danger Radio, Family Force 5, Finch, From First to Last, Hip Hop Karaoke, Jeffree Star, Jimmy Eat World, Long Duck Dong, Lydia, Metro Station, MxPx, My Chemical Romance, New Found Glory, Paper Rival, Paramore, Reel Big Fish, RX Bandits, Saves The Day, Senses Fail, Set Your Goals, Simple Plan, Streetlight Manifesto, Sunglasses at Knight, The All-American Rejects, The Color Fred, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and The Starting Line.
Tickets for The Bamboozle Roadshow will surely be hard to find, so be sure to get your cheap tickets for The Bamboozle Roadshow, The Bamboozle, The Hoodwink, and The Bamboozle Left from TicketNetwork today!
