About Blake Shelton

In 1976, Blake Shelton was born in Ada, Oklahoma. The thirty-two-year-old country music star started out performing in honky-tonk bars and local country music shows. His turning point came when Mae Boren Axton, a songwriter, visited his town. Mae advised Blake to bring his guitar to Nashville, and he packed his bags as soon as he graduated high school. The young artist released his first album, Blake Shelton, in 2001, followed by The Dreamer.

A few years after moving to Tennessee, Blake married his sweetheart, Kaynette Williams, but the marriage only lasted for three years. After his divorce, the country artist began a romance with Miranda Lambert, a twenty-five-year-old blonde country star. The two singers perform benefit concerts together, and CMT reports that "Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's recent concert in Tishomingo, Okla., raised $70,000 to help build an animal shelter for the community."
