The 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will be held from June 11 - 14, 2009 at the Manchester Farm in Manchester, Tennessee. This year's Bonnaroo Music Festival will continue the show's departure from its focus on jam bands into the more genre diverse festival it has become in recent years. According to the official website, Bonnaroo 2009 will be headlined by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Phish (for two performances), the Beastie Boys, and Nine Inch Nails. The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival was created in 2002 by Superfly Productions and AC Entertainment as a vehicle for jam and indie bands to perform their music. About the Bonnaroo Music Festival

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival was created in 2002 by Superfly Productions and AC Entertainment. Lasting four days, and initially catering to jam bands and their fans, it has expanded in recent years to include indie music, folk music, world music, hip hop, jazz, electronica and other genres. The show is split into a number of stages and tents, most of which are located in Centeroo, the main hub of activity at Bonnaroo. Among the stages and tents are the What Stage, holding the headlining artists and bands, the Which Stage, and the This Tent, That Tent, and The Other Tent, which house smaller acts. According to a PRNewsWire press release by Bonnaroo event organizers, a large portion of the Manchester Farm venue where Bonnaroo has been located since its inception was purchased in 2007, thus creating a permanent home for the event. Recipients of Bonnaroo Festival tickets often opt to stay at the Great Stage Park campground, either in tents or RVs. Bonnaroo also features SuperJam, where artists from different bands play together.
