Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a very good concert. While I love B Raitt on cd, her performance was not as strong in person at all. Her choice of songs was lacking, choosing only a few the audience knew and loved. the venue was terrible! Wolf Trap sold way too many lawn tickets so more than 100 people were in lawn Siberia with NO view whatsoever AND the acoustics were very bad. A lot of people in this area left early and after spending more than $80 for a lawn ticket, it was a VERY disappointing experience all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous concert! Bonnie Raitt has an incredible voice which just got better as the night went on. The Richard Thomas Trio was amazing too. Incredibly talented musicians and playing together was brilliant. I would say go much earlier, we picnicked on the lawn, which was nice, but could not see the artists at all. The Sound system at Wolf Trap is fabulous, which made all the difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was my dream concert! We had great seats in the orchestra section of the Fraze Pavilion. It was the perfect evening with some of my favorite all time performers. Having the Richard Thompson Trio as the opening act was such a bonus! My favorite moment was when he and Bonnie sang one of his songs together with their acoustic guitars

Everyone, of all ages, should try to get to one of her shows, an American, country, R&B, funk icon, finger slider forever. You will be singing her songs for days after attending a show...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible!! The energy Bonnie Raitt and her band provided was so infectios, people were clapping, singing, and dancing. They even performed 4 more songs during the encore! I didn't know much about her before Friday night, but I'll join my husband and sing her praise!

Bonnie Raitt Biography

Bonnie Raitt was born on November 8, 1949 in Burbank, CA to Broadway star John Raitt and pianist Marjorie Haydock. Although she began playing guitar at an early age, while in college, Bonnie Raitt planned to travel to Tanzania where the president was in the process of implementing a government based on socialism and democracy. However, she became friends with a blues promoter who encouraged her to move to Philadelphia to purse music full time.

Eventually, Bonnie Raitt gained the attention of record companies, who often sent staff to watch her perform. In 1970, Bonnie Raitt signed a deal with Warner Bros., and a year later she released her debut self-titled album. The album failed to increase her popularity. In 1972, Bonnie Raitt released Give It Up. This time, Bonnie Raitt had struck gold. The album received universal acclaim and to this day, is considered by many to be her best album.

Although critics praised Give It Up, Bonnie Raitt's 1989 album, Nick of Time proved to be her most popular. The album topped the Billboard 200 chart, sold five million copies, and took home three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Fast forward to today, and Bonnie Raitt has released a total of 17 albums. She also continues to spend much of her time performing for fans across the country.
