The Book of Mormon is the newest hit to take the Broadway world by storm. The musical was created by the duo behind "South Park," Trey Parker and Matt Stone, along with Robert Lopez, the composer and lyricist who had previously given Broadway fans Avenue Q. The Book of Mormon premiered on Broadway at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on March 24, 2011. Since the show’s opening, it has been both a commercial and critical success. The show has set numerous weekly sales records for the Eugene O’Neill Theatre and has consistently been one of the top five selling shows on Broadway.
Critics have praised practically every part of the production, from the plot to the score to the choreography. Vogue Magazine described the show as "the filthiest, most offensive, and – surprise – sweetest thing you’ll see on Broadway this year, and quite possibly the funniest musical ever." The show was nominated for fourteen Tony Awards in 2011 and on the night of the ceremony it took home nine of those awards, including Best Musical. In 2015, The Book of Mormon will be performed in theaters across the coutntry. Don’t miss your chance to see the show everyone is talking about – get your Book of Mormon tickets today!
