In 2002, a film called Catch Me If You Can was released starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. The movie was a hit, as audiences became immersed in the true story of Frank Abagnale, Jr., who conned millions of dollars as a teenager. The story was then made into a Broadway musical, which debuted in March 2011. The production was nominated for four Tony Awards, and Norbert Leo Butz won the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. Catch Me If You Can Plot Summary
Catch Me If You Can is based on the true story of Frank Abagnale, Jr., who became a successful con artist (to the tune of millions of dollars) before he turned 19. Leading various fake lives, including those of a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer, he became an expert check forger and conman.
