While Celtic Thunder released their self-titled first album in 2008, they officially debuted in 2007 with the Celtic Concert Orchestra in Dublin, Ireland to great success. The original members of the band included singers, Damian McGinty, Keith Harkin, Paul Byrom, Ryan Kelly, and George Donaldson. The debut was followed in September 2008 by their album, Act Two. Their next CD/DVD effort was titled Take Me Home and was released in 2009, which was followed by their third DVD/fourth album, It's Entertainment!, in the same year.
Changes in the group have been made over the years. For example, the youngest member of the original group, Damian McGinty, ended up leaving the group after winning an American singing competition. Many members have gone on to create solo albums, but the voices and faces that can be seen and heard throughout the group's success include: Colm Keegan, Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly, Neil Byrne, Emmet O'Hanlon, Emmet Cahill, Damian McGinty, Paul Byrom, Daniel Furlong, and George Donaldson.
