Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hailstorm and Ballgame There was a hail storm before the game on June 28, 2016 at Coors Field in Denver. The game started at 9:20 pm Mountain Time and lasted until 1:00 pm. The outfield looked like it had snowed. The temperature was around 65 F. The game had lots of runs between the Blue Jays and Rockies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ballpark, great game Really enjoyed my visit to Coors Field from Texas. Beautiful ballpark, great amenities (cheaper than Texas) and friendly people. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

About the Rockies

Home Stadium: Coors Field

Opened:1995
Seating Capacity:50,398
Address:2001 Blake Street
Denver, CO 80205

The Colorado Rockies franchise was one of two teams that entered Major League Baseball in 1993 as part of National League expansion. Since the inception of the team, it has been clear that the Rockies had tremendous support from their fans. Although they finished with only 67 wins in their inaugural season, the team was able to sell nearly 4.5 million tickets for their home games, an MLB attendance record that stands to this day.

In 1995, the Rockies were able to turn the corner from expansion team to a winning franchise. The team opened Coors Field, their new home ballpark, and signed coveted free-agent outfielder Larry Walker, formerly of the Montreal Expos. Walker, along with Andres Galarraga, Vinny Castilla and Dante Bichette, made the Rockies lineup one of the most feared in baseball. The team was able to make the postseason for the first time in club history that season.

The pinnacle of Rockies franchise history came in 2007, when the team was able to go 20-1 during a stretch at the end of the season and through the playoffs, taking that streak all the way to the World Series. Matched up with the Boston Red Sox, fans in Denver quickly scooped up Colorado Rockies tickets for the series and tickets to the games were among the most sought-after in baseball history. The team was not able to overcome the Red Sox in the series, but the month of October 2007 remains one of the most memorable in Denver sports history.

The team continues to strive to win the franchises first World Series title, building behind young, talented players like Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki.
