Originally, Danny Gans was not the singer, musical impressionist, and actor he is today. Gans started out as a minor league baseball players with the Durham Bulls. However, after an injury ended Gans' baseball career aspirations, and he turned to the entertainment industry.
For several years, Danny Gans traveled throughout the United States, performing mostly private functions for corporations. In 1995, Danny Gans found new success with a one-man show on Broadway. However, Gans felt that the show, plus a 200 date-a-year concert schedule took him away from his family, who lived in Los Angeles, for too much time.
In 1996, Danny Gans and his family moved to Las Vegas, NV and Gans started performing his musical impressionist act at the Stratosphere, and shortly thereafter moved to the Rio. In 2000, Danny Gans became a permanent performer at The Mirage in a theater built for Gans by hotel mogul Steve Wynn. Gans will begin the next leg of his Las Vegas career in early 2009, when he moves to the Encore, the sister resort to Wynn Las Vegas.
