Rated 4 out of 5 by from Memorable! Exceptional musicians who have only improved over time. A joy to see them perform. The Doobies were so good and Steely Dan was, too. The Eagles sent chills from the moment they started singing. Fleetwood Mac's modified renditions of their hits made their performance more poignant. Lindsay Buckingham was the artist who stood out as the most exceptional over the two days. While I enjoyed Earth Wind and Fire and Journey, the sound mix on Sunday compared to Saturday was "off." Too much base (volume) subdued the audience in my section. We couldn't hear the lyrics, instruments and lead guitars over the base. However, the sound on Saturday was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another classic Henley show! Henley could sing the phone book and make it sound great. I've seen him perform dozens of times and he consistently brings it. He dusted off some of his classics like "The Last Resort" and "Sunset Grill" and played his standerds like "Wasted Time", "Life in the Fast Line" and of course "Desperdo". He had a large band with him with a horn section and string section. After what happenned to Glenn, you never know how many chances are left to see him perform.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic East was classic!! The Eagles were fantastic, great tributes to Glenn Frey. Henley was intense. Vince Gill was a great addition on Frey songs. Joe Walsh stole the show with his guitar rips, and joy performing for the crowd. Steely Dan was excellent, played all of their big hits. Donald Fagen was in top form, and the band was in sync with him. The Doobie Brothers were solid, but it's not easy opening up at 5PM with a half empty stadium. All time great show.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great concert It was a wonderful concert, music was excellent. Don Henley's voice is awesome. It was a concert that showcased the band. Was not a concert with a light show that takes away from the music. The horns were right on. He had female vocalist with beautiful voices. The harmonies were beautiful. I fully enjoyed this concert. Photos and videos were not allowed due to the request of Don Henley.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life in the Past Line Terrific performance by Don Henley and his band. A no frills journey to the 70's and back with all the hits. Don proved to be one of our music legends who can still crank out both the rock sounds (aka Hotel Californis) and the emotional ballads (like The Age of the Innocence ) equally well. Thank you for bringing us home to some terrific memories!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nostalgic and powerful i can not say enough good about the shows. however I was allowed to purchase a two day pass for a lot of money that had absolutely no view of the stage. to the show organizers credit and my delight the management exchanged us even better tickets for which we were and are grateful

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don Henley and Band. Great The concert was great, loved the 5 part harmony and horn section. Don always puts on good show but this show was tops. Seating, sound system and ease of parking make this arena a must for a great concert experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful venue for a good concert! It was our first time at Bethel Woods, and we were very impressed with this beautiful venue. Don Henley still sounds great after all these years. You can't beat some of those old Eagles/Henley favorites!

Don Henley Biography

Don Henley was born on July 22, 1947 in Gilmer, TX. After being asked by his coach to quit his high school football team because of his small stature, Don Henley decided to join his school band, where he played trombone and then drums. Around the same time, Don Henley also joined a Dixieland band with some of his childhood friends called Shiloh. The band's members, by chance, met Kenny Rogers in 1969, who helped the band sign a record deal with Amos Records. After releasing a self-titled album, the band disbanded in 1971.

Don Henley got his big break when he was recruited as a member of Linda Ronstadt's backup band. A couple months later, he and Glenn Frey, along with Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, formed the Eagles. During his time with the band, Don Henley has acted both as drummer and a co-writer on many of their best-known hits, typically working with Frey. Some of these songs include "Hotel California," "Desperado," and "The Long Run."

When the band broke up in 1980, Henley began a solo career which has been very successful. Don Henley has released a number of hit singles, including "Dirty Laundry," "Love Rules," and "The Boys of Summer." When the Eagles reformed in 1994, Henley signed back on and has helped write for the band's subsequent releases, including several songs on Long Road Out of Eden (2007). He's also continued to tour with the band.
