Fab Four - Resources

About the Fab Four

The Fab Four was created in the late 1990s and began touring all around the country. Like other tribute bands, the Fab Four does not record any songs of their own but instead performs the songs of another band; in the FF's case it is the Beatles. In their act, the Fab Four fully imitate the original Beatles, from the clothing to the hairstyles and even the Liverpool accent. In order to make the act as believable as possible, the Fab Four have trained in order to learn dozens of Beatles songs. The members of the original group are Ron McNeil as John Lennon, Michael Amador as George Harrison, Andy Sarraf as Paul McCartney, and Rolo Sandoval as Ringo Starr.

In 2005, the band was offered a contract to perform in Las Vegas, but due to their tour schedule, they would not be able to fulfill it. So a new band, known as Fab Four Mania, was formed to portray the Beatles at several theaters, and eventually at The Riviera, where they began playing in October 2008. Both the original and Vegas acts are completely identical, so interested patrons can be comfortable in knowing that wherever they see the Fab Four, they will see the same great act.

The course of the show is simple. An Ed Sullivan impersonator acts as the master of ceremonies by introducing "these lads from Liverpool" and the band starts playing. During both the Fab Four touring show and Fab Four Mania, the groups change their wardrobe three times. The first is the so often remembered mop-top and suit look from the beginning of their career. By mid-way through the show, however, the band has changed into colorful outfits and mustaches reminiscent of the Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, and Abbey Road days. By the end, John Lennon comes out in a pure white suit to play a solo. The change in look follows the change in style and look of the real Beatles band. And as the actual fab four grew more popular over the years, so has the Fab Four tribute band. Their popularity has grown so much that they now command their own following from loyal fans. The band has previously played at the Las Vegas Hilton.
