His first was "George Lopez Why You Crying?" for Showtime and in 2007 he broadcasted live for HBO's "America's Mexican".
Recently George Lopez has entered the world of sports, putting his spin on the week's events in the NFL for HBO's "Inside the NFL" for the 2003 season. He starred in 2005's "The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl", and that same year was named as one of Time Magazine's Most Influential Hispanics in America. As accolades continue to come in for George Lopez and his successful career, he remains true to his roots and is still performing stand up. In 2007 George Lopez became the first comic to perform at the new Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.
