About Glee

Glee is a musical comedy that premiered in September 2009. The overarching storyline of the first season centers around a high school glee club that is working its way to a national competition. Specific episodes feature themes typical of musicals, including romance, rivalry and deception, and end with the lessons that characters have learned through their experiences. Each episode features cover versions of real songs from artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Van Halen, John Lennon, Diana Ross, John Fogerty, and many more. Glee has been well received by both viewers and critics and won several 2010 Golden Globe awards for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy, Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actress.
